Venetian - Las Vegas Hotel Review

The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino, Las Vegas, owned by Las Vegas Sands Corp, "is the world's largest 5 Diamond Resort and is the fully integrated sister property of The Palazzo". Certainly palatial, what is most surprising about this hotel is the fact that many people indicate it is excellent value. Reading different travel forums with rating systems and comments, it was clear that although it is Five Diamond Resort modeled after European luxury, it still attracted everyday families. It is indeed impressive to hear that not only the rich and famous can enjoy the posh atmosphere of this fine hotel and that for a budget hotel.

Situated on the grounds of the historic Sands Hotel, The Venetian is an elaborate recreation of Venice, its lobby "a picture of grandeur with intricate chandeliers, beautiful ceiling paintings, marble floors, elaborate sculptures, and elegant marble columns". On the second floor of the hotel, exists the shopping area with boutiques and stores all masterfully built around a network of canals, complete with authentic gondola rides. The front exterior of the property is a replica of Doge's Palace and on the other side sits Madame Tussauds', where guests interact with life-like wax celebrities.

Keeping with the Venetian styling, the pool area brings to mind a serene and majestic garden transposed from Venice. Grandly designed on the fourth floor of the hotel, the pool deck offers two swimming pools and a lounge pool where guests lie in special lounge chairs and the water rises just high enough to enjoy a peaceful soak. Showers, cabanas, restaurant and bar service, towel attendants and lifeguards are all part of the pool experience.

For adults who prefer "European sunbathing", TAO Beach is the place to be when in Vegas. Reserving a spot for Saturday night's party is a must. Fabulous light show, Chinese lanterns, and fire columns transform Saturday nights into something special. In addition to the ostentatious cabanas, the club offers Asian-inspired daybeds and plenty of cushy seats. With all the lavish amenities of the hotel, you will "usher in a new level of luxury and sophistication to the burgeoning Las Vegas pool party scene".

Particularly noteworthy, to allow guests complete seclusion and privacy in a grand scale even more opulent than The Venetian itself, is the Venezia Tower, a hotel within the hotel. Twelve floors comprised of over one thousand suites, each exquisitely decorated with marble tile, natural stone, mosaics, intricate woodwork, and fine draperies are the perfect backdrop for guests wanting to remove themselves from the harried city life.

Grandeur, opulence and comfort are characteristically The Venetian.
